Full Moon Meditation: The Strawberry Moon

June 11, 2025 by Tyson Leave a Comment

Greetings, human. It is I, Tyson—your sleek, strawberry-sweetened guide to tranquility.

Tonight, we greet the Strawberry Moon, the full moon of June. Named by the Algonquin and other Native American tribes for the short season of ripe strawberries, this moon reminds us to savor life’s small, juicy joys before they slip away.

Find a quiet place—windows open if possible, cat nearby if you’re lucky—and prepare to settle into this moon of fullness and flavor.

Let us begin.

Step 1: Lounge Among the Leaves

Sit or lie down somewhere soft.
If you can see the moon, let it find your fur (or hair, if you insist).
If not, imagine it suspended above a sun-drenched field, plump and glowing like a perfectly ripe berry.

Breathe in the scent of warm fruit and green things.
Breathe out the leftover tangles of the day.

Cats do not grab at pleasure.
We wait until it ripens, and then we pounce with grace.

Step 2: The Sweet Stretch

Stretch your arms like vines reaching for summer sun.
Flex your fingers like you’re trying to catch a falling berry before it lands in your water dish.

Inhale like a deep breath of strawberry breeze.
Exhale like a sigh of complete feline satisfaction.

Feel your body move with intention—and zero rush.

Step 3: Let the Moon Ripen in You

Picture the Strawberry Moon glowing above, full of light and sweetness.
Let that light trickle down into your chest, your belly, your paws (or…feet).

Breathe in warmth.
Breathe out craving.
Breathe in fullness.
Breathe out grasping.

Not everything good must be chased.
Some things are meant to be received.

Step 4: The Purr of Enoughness

If your cat is purring, you’re in excellent company.
If not, imagine a low, steady purr—a hum of contentment with no agenda.

Now, match your breath to that rhythm:

Inhale softly…
Exhale slowly…
Inhale…
Exhale…

Feel the sound vibrate inside you, like a satisfied purr after a good meal.

Step 5: Savor the Moment

This moon is about ripeness, not rushing.
It’s the flavor that comes from waiting.
The stillness that follows effort.

Feel yourself resting in a body that has enough.
In a space that doesn’t need.
In a moment that can simply be.

Cats are masters of satisfaction.
Tonight, you are too.

Step 6: Return with Berry-Stained Paws

When you’re ready, wiggle your fingers like they’re brushing through berry bushes.
Stretch like a cat who just finished a long, delicious dream.
Blink yourself back with the slow confidence of one who knows their worth.

If your cat has fallen asleep: you are perfectly boring in the best way.
If your cat is sitting on your chest: this is your prize for achieving feline-level stillness.

Carry the richness of the Strawberry Moon with you.

And remember: You are not behind. You are ripening, perfectly.

Purrs and ripe delight,
Tyson 🐾
